Getting Here
For the southern trips we can leave from Koh Samui or Koh Tao, for the northern trips we leave from Koh Tao. There are hourly ‘Bangkok Airways’ flights to Samui from Bangkok, flight duration less than one hour. Check out the Bangkok Airways websites for schedules and to book tickets online. If our tech diving trip is departing from Samui we’ll meet you at the airport and take you to the boat moored 10 minutes away, or to a nearby resort of which there are many - expect to pay between 1000-2000 baht/night for an A/c room. If you need to meet us on Koh Tao, the ‘Seatran Ferry’ leaves Samui at 8am and 1pm, trip duration 1.5 hrs. so if you’d like to avoid a night on Samui make sure you book a morning flight. The ferry leaves from a pier 10mins from the airport and the passenger service information desk will arrange a car to take you there. Again, tickets can be booked online through the Seatran Discovery website. If we’re leaving from Koh Tao and you’d like to travel directly, you’ll need to travel from to Chumporn overnight by bus or train (preferred) and then take a ferry to Koh Tao. Any Bangkok travel agent will book you a ‘joint ticket ‘ to take you the whole way. This option is obviously a lot cheaper than flying, but a touch tiring! Agai, if you arrive early and want to spend a few days on the island prior to the trip, you can expect to pay 1000-2000 baht for quality Koh Tao resort accommodation. If you have your own transport in Bangkok, allow a 5/6 hour drive to the ‘Lomprayah’ ferry pier at Chumporn, park your car there (50baht/day) and catch the 1pm ferry to Koh Tao - you’ll be here before 3pm. If you're bring your own tech diving equipment or CCR rebreather unit with you, be sure to let us know which ferry you're arriving on and we can send a taxi and / or staff to help you at the pier.
