Sakura Maru - Technical Diving in Thailand

Eastern Route

Very similar to Nanmei No 5, even down to the torpedoed bow. She's a little larger, perhaps 1500 tons, with some good penetration into the cargo tanks.

We were originally very excited about the Sakura Maru, as Japanese records state that she's a 7000ton passenger/cargo, but it turns out there's two Sakuras, the other one's on the bottom in the Java Sea!
