Technical Diving Training - Koh Tao, Thailand

The only way to be a good tec diver is to get out and do it! There’s a lot more to technical diving than going through the required skills and diving a bit deeper and longer than the recreational reef divers you’ve shared a boat with. There seems to be a trend of 'getting tec certified' which means doing the same old , same old dives with tec kit. This may satisfy the standards of the particular course but it's not really a good preparation to 'real' tec diving.  Desperately swimming around looking for a few more feet or water, willing your computer to click into deco isn't my idea of a tec dive, sorry.

From our base on the tropical island of Koh Tao, we offer a full range of technical diving courses, details of which are given below.

The real benefit to taking your tech diving training with TechThailand, is that we are very active and experienced technical divers, regularly running tech diving expeditions throughout the Gulf of Thailand, and out of season to inland sites, in fact that's all we do! We may cost a bit more , but you won't be sharing the boat and your dive site with 50 other divers. And you won't be hassled to cut dives short because everyone else has finished.

All our tech diving students deserve a live-aboard trip to some of our best WW2 wrecks throughout the region.

Not only will you enjoy world class technical diving on historic wrecks, but you'll also learn wider aspects of running a tech expedition such as GPS navigation, reading the sonar, search techniques, shotting the wreck and how to tie into a wreck (as well as picking up a huge amount of knowledge from the other tec divers on the trip). There is no extra charge for our tec students.

If you’re really keen you can learn to blend Nitrox and Trimix during the trip.

After the formal training dives are completed, we always make time for a couple of tec dives just for fun.
